I encourage you to watch Part 2 and 3 of the video, because in Part 3, I said something that I felt is very important for parents and students: "Education not only preserves what is good in society, but it also serves to prepare our kids for the future world." Adult Singaporeans who have the opportunity to work and interact with overseas people will agree that we need to be able to express ourselves clearly, eloquently and with facts to a global community. Without giving our students a world perspective, our kids cannot expect to compete, stand up and be heard with respect by well-educated people from all over the world.
